Michael "Mike" J. Emmendorfer 51, of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 at his home, in Kansas City, MO. He was born February 8, 1961 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Marilyn and Ron Emmendorfer. He graduated from Benton, class of 1979 and attended Missouri Western State University. He married Anglia "Angie" Davis on March 15, 2002. He worked as a Project Manager for the State of Kansas and was a Structural Engineer. He enjoyed flying air planes and was a CFII Flight Instructor for multi-engine planes, he also flew for the State of Kansas and was a member of the AOPA. Mike liked to fly fish and deer hunt. Mike was a member of the Catholic Faith. He was a 4th degree Knight and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 569 4th degree and Knights of Columbus council #571. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Emmendorfer. Survivors include wife, Anglia "Angie" Emmendorfer of the home, father, Ron Emmendorfer, son, Zachary Emmendorfer of Dearborn, MO, step-son, Brian Dean Davis Jr. of Lawrence, KS, and a step-son, Alan Christopher Davis of St. Joseph, MO, four brothers, Kevin Emmendorfer and wife Kim of Lees Summit, MO, David Emmendorfer and wife Kristin of Cosby, MO, Jeffrey Emmendorfer and wife Kristen of Kansas City, MO, and Brian Emmendorfer and wife Heather of Savannah, MO, a sister, Debbie Hickman and husband Larry of St. Joseph, MO.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at 10:00 am at the St. Francis Xavier. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm, Wednesday where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier. The Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery .
